DRUM BATTLES

It is a rather controversial topic as there is quite a number of drummers who do not acknowledge this type of drumming as proper drum playing saying it is merely a sport done to show off and there is no music in it. On the other hand, there are those who just want to go crazy behind the drum kit, show their drumming skills and exchange energy and ideas with other drummers in real time – a bit like in the case of improvisation in music. We certainly do not feel qualified to say who is right or wrong in this respect. If there are some players willing to participate in a drum “scuffle”, we are willing to show it.
